Reach 150 is an annual fun filled, family focused, mountain bike event organized by Mangapapa Church to raise funds for Ruel Fiji.
Ruel Fiji provides free, life changing surgical treatment for Fijian children with operable facial deformities such as cleft lip and palate. For as little as $350 a child can receive corrective surgery for a cleft lip or palate from a team of medical professionals who donate their time and expertise.
All money raised from Reach 150 goes toward locating these children, even if their villages are remote, educating their parents about the corrective surgical procedure, transporting, accommodating and providing food for the child and a support person, medicines and any costs associated with the post operative care of the child.
Reach 150 consists of either Solo or Team riders completing as many laps of a 1.5 km circuit as possible within the 150 minute time frame.
Money is raised by riders collecting sponsorship per lap ridden or through donation.
Solo riders — one rider completes as many laps of the designated circuit as possible, outside assistance may be given with regard to feeding and mechanical mishaps i.e. no pushing or pulling of solo riders allowed!
Team riders — each team will consist of 2 to 4 riders. Team tactics will vary however most teams will have one rider complete the circuit then tag their next rider who then completes the circuit etc.
Only one rider per team is allowed on the course at any one time.
